Anxiety management

Even a child can become stressed, this is something an adult around the child need to understand. If the child is unable to perform to the expectations of the adults around him, if he is not able to meet the standards of work and behaviour that his peers seem to be capable of, the child can suffer from anxiety. He may hesitate to take up tasks, including social interaction as the results of the expected interaction may paralyse him as he may be expecting a negative result. A psychological intervention for both the child and the parent (to manage their expectations from the child) can help ease the situation and the child may be taught to cope with the anxious moments without becoming immobilised.
