Child psychological services – Intellectual Ability Assessment (IQ Assessment)

When a child’s intellectual ability assessment is made, the child is checked for his abilities in reasoning, comprehension and judgment. Reasoning would mean logical thinking, understanding sequences, what comes after what etc. Comprehension would be understanding a passage or content of a page and ability to express it in one’s own language and judgment would be to understand what is right and wrong in a given situation.

Children are administered a comprehensive IQ test which measures the child on these parameters. This will help the Psychologist quickly assess the strength and weakness of the child in different areas of intelligence and suggest a suitable course correction method if needed.
