Pediatric Physiotherapy – Juvenile chronic arthritis (JCA)

Juvenile Chronic Arthritis (JCA) is the most common form of arthritis in children. This can occur in children between six weeks of birth to sixteen years of age. This form of arthritis may be short lived, slightly long lasting or even chronic. The symptoms of the disease can include lethargy, poor physical activity and loss of appetite. Generally the treatment would need a battery of professionals and would include physiotherapy, pain management and social support.
