Speech and language therapy – Auditory verbal therapy (Chochlear implanted children)
Some children may be born with a hearing loss which cannot be set right organically. They may need external devices like a hearing aid, cochlear implant etc. These devices are used to amplify the hearing for them from the residual natural hearing that they may be left with. This therapy is often used for children who are totally or partially hearing impaired. The therapy consists of both speech and hearing.
Cochlear Implants are electronic devices that are surgically implanted in the person.
