Speech and language therapy – Dysphagia (Child and Adult)

A child or an adult is expected to swallow smoothly either solids and liquids. If they are finding it difficult to swallow this condition is referred to as Dysphagia. Dysphagia is also referred to when the person has sensation of food being struck in their food pipe. A person suffering from Dysphagia may take a greater time in eating or drinking as they have a physical difficulty in swallowing the substance. Therapy is offered to such person which will ease their difficulty.
